Confirmed from Riverview Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Laid-back family-friendly venue featuring a playground, splash pad and picnic area alongside a bird-filled river.
What runners say about Riverview Park
“The bathroom is in a pretty close proximity to the main area with the playground, and it's very clean.”
“For those who like the water, it has gorgeous waterfront views, shady oak trees, and relaxing breezes.”
“The park has a lot of shade due to the trees, which cover a significant part of the park.”
“The walking paths are peaceful and ideal for a short stroll.”
Really enjoy this little park along the river! It is the location for mini-festivals now that the weather is good. Just a beautiful local treasure. You can go out on the docks and enjoy fresh air. Fortunately they do not allow pets on the docks and though there are always dog walkers, they have not yet taken over it.
🌳 Riverview Park — A Peaceful Stroll with a Splash of Small-Town Charm 📍 Sebastian, FL ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) Before discovering the sweet magic of Pops Ice Cream, we wandered into Riverview Park—a serene, shaded, community-first spot tucked along the water in the heart of Sebastian, Florida.
Wow! This park was gorgeous! I had a wonderful time here. We had a picnic at some of the picnic tables near the playground, and it was wonderful. The kids enjoyed the playground and families were playing together using the volleyball net.
Riverview Park is well known for its events. It's perfectly situated under the tree canopies providing plenty of shade. Keep an eye out for event schedules to purchase beautiful goods from local vendors. Most times there is live music and there is an outdoor bathroom.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
