Cute park with nice shaded trails & very lushed vegetations. It connects to the adjoining NPS De Soto memorial. There are only 5 regular parking spaces & 1 handicapped space though. There is plenty of parking though about 500’ down the road, inside De Soto National Monument.
Went hiking there today with my wife. It is an easy and awesome 1 mile walk, if you decide to walk around it. It has shorter trails that are just as fun. The restrooms are clean and the exhibit inside the house is interesting. De Soto National Memorial park is here too
Moderately short hiking trails. This preserve is connected to Desoto National memorial park - very nice views and trails but short.
The most beautiful place to walk in Manatee County that we have seen so far. We really enjoyed it as a family on Saturday morning. You walk right next to the water. There are benches to watch the waves crash against the mangroves, the beach and all.
