Confirmed from Riverview Trail System Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Riverview Trail System Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (29 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“The leaves would also be beautiful in there in the fall.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Not much shade so early mornings and later evenings are best.”

Good place to start your exploration of the trails. I did the full 23 mile long Coyote Loop on my mountain bike. The trail has a surprisingly broad variety of trail surfaces to ride across. From very rocky to buttery smooth loam. The views of the Heber Valley are excellent from the Southern side of the loop.

The best mountain biking in the Heber Valley! Shorter easier trails on the front of the mountain, or do the whole loop over the top. Love this place!

★★★★★ — Trevor , Mar 2017

They are doing a great job of maintaining the trails while all the construction is going on.

★★★★★ — Joachim , May 2025

Gorgeous views from just about anywhere the trails. Great trail system, had to stop and turn around a few times because the trails were still a little wet, unfortunately could see a lot of tire tracks continued on despite that being bad for the trail.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
