We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Dutch Hollow Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Dutch Hollow Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (79 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Easy to navigate/well maintained paths - each accessible through the same starting trailhead.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Found so many wild flowers running 5 miles out there in the morning and it was just a magical forrest so beautiful”

Did the Heber overlook trail. It's an easy small hike that allows dogs. It's a little expensive for a day use fee for what it is and compared to others I've been to. (It was a $10 fee drop box at the start of the trail)

★★★★☆ — Kylie , Oct 2022

Beautiful area with mostly easy to moderate mountain biking, as well as hiking. Some great views of the Heber valley depending on the trail. Peaceful.

★★★★☆ — Wejen , Oct 2023

Beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. Many routes to choose from, including easy, intermediate, and challenging hikes. Easy to navigate/well maintained paths - each accessible through the same starting trailhead. Would definitely recommend!

★★★★★ — Mama , Oct 2020

Great trail, lots of inclines. HOWEVER. It's easy to get off trail with a few mysterious paths that are in similar direction of marked trails. Bring water. Use ya smarts. Have fun

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
