Confirmed from Wasatch Mountain State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic preserve offering 2 golf courses, trails for horseback riding, plus winter sports & camping.
What runners say about Wasatch Mountain State Park
“The park is very well maintained, restrooms were new and very clean as the grounds.”
“Amenities = new carts, stunning driving range Cost = pricey for public course, but once you play you’ll understand why they can charge $60-80 per round.”
We camped at Pine Creek Campground. This place has a lot of shades and trees help creating privacy between campsites which is a huge plus, compared to many other campgrounds nearby SLC area. This makes the site a bit cooler. We went during the Independence day and it was still quite cold at night.
We stayed at Wasatch State Park we found the park and area to be beautiful!! The park is very well maintained, restrooms were new and very clean as the grounds. It’s near where the Winter Olympics had cross country skiing and other events. Two award winning golf course are just up the hill from camp.
This is an absolutely gorgeous park that has some of the best fall colors in the state. It has a rare combination of brilliant red’s yellows and oranges during the peak leaf season.
We stayed in the Oak Hollow loop for 3 days/2 nights. The campground included a water hookup, electricity under the table, campfire pit and 2 long metal tables. The spots for your tents are just sand/dirt so make sure you expect to get real dirty. Also, bees.
