Confirmed from Riverwalk Augusta's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Riverfront park with brick walking paths, plus a splash fountain, playground & nearby amenities.
What runners say about Riverwalk Augusta
“The Riverwalk in Augusta is a beautiful place to enjoy a stroll along the Savannah River.”
“Depending on the time of day, it can get very hot, and the insects can sometimes be a nuisance, but the peaceful atmosphere makes up for it.”
Riverwalk Augusta is very nice. Quite peaceful and relaxing, with lots of interesting historic markers and a sculpture trail. The day we visited was quite warm and there were not many people around at all. Quite a lot of downed trees and branches waiting to be cleared that appeared to have been there for a while.
👉🏼 We are a fulltime RV family and stopped here to stroll around and stretch our legs from a long trip. Really nice, quiet and peaceful place to walk around with great river views. The place could use some upkeep and parking is very limited. ✅️ Check us out at @wndrsoulnomads
The most beautiful place! Has a nice walking trail along the river. The playground is in great shape & my kids loved it! We also got on the bridge & sat on the bench’s while our kids played with the stationary sensory toys. I love how they also focus on entertaining the kids!
It's a place you can visit for free, and it's great for walking or biking along the river. Also, you can learn about Augusta's history and find nice spots to relax. The surrounding scenery is beautiful as well.
