Confirmed from Riverwalk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxing, walkable riverside trail dotted with benches and playgrounds.
What runners say about Riverwalk
“The views are simply beautiful, the water pushes out a nice breeze and it's just not something you get to see all the time.”
“Maybe because it was a weekday, it wasn’t crowded at all, so we were able to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing walk.”
Great trail along the dam. Plenty of benches to sit and take in the views. We loved watching the kayaks launch and make their way down the river. Next time we will bike the entire 8 miles.
Definitely a cool place to hang out or take a long walk. I took my family here and my wife enjoyed the views and my kids loved the playgrounds. The views are simply beautiful, the water pushes out a nice breeze and it's just not something you get to see all the time.
Incredible walking or bicycling path along the Chattahoochee River. Plenty of statues and decorative enhancements on the walkway. Beautiful views of the river and rapids. Woodruff Park is the centerpiece in the historic area of the Riverwalk with bathrooms accessible.
Amazing spot to go for a walk. Dogs love it. Humans love it. Squirrels love it. Bring a paddle board or kayak to hop in the river if you dare. I prefer the rainy days down there as it is wayyy less crowded/ humid. Wonderful spot for engagement or wedding photos. Be aware of your surroundings near dark.
