Confirmed from Riverwalk - Veterans Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Riverside trail with a statue of a Native American and museums, plus space for biking and dog walking.

This place is beautiful! I highly recommend it. I took my dog and had a good time just walking the pathway along the water.

February 1, 2025 Walking with Ashley and Bronco February 1, 2025 Ashley, Bronco, and I woke up early, finished packing up the Jeep and headed out to Wichita, Kansas. First stop was Loves Travel Stop in Burlington Colorado for Bronco to run around the dog park, our second stop was Taco Shop for lunch in Hays, Kansas!
A very nice walk beside the Arkansas River. There are many small scale but stunning veterans monuments, some wildlife, interesting architecture, and the collosal Indian (Native American) statue with additional Native American monuments. There are also several museums along it, but I didn't visit them.
