We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Roanoke Greenway (Rivers Edge South) yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Roanoke Greenway (Rivers Edge South)
So happy to spend the day on the Roanoke River Greenway! Stayed in Roanoke on a road trip specifically to ride the trail. Was not disappointed. Scenic and beautiful. Many bridges with views of the river. I parked in Wasema park and traveled both directions on the trail.
Great place for walking, running, biking, relaxing, tennis, field sports. The greenway is a gem that brings so many people outdoor activities. Kayak park coming soon.
