Confirmed from Roaring Run Loop Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Well-loved 0.6-mile trail featuring multiple waterfalls, as well as swimming holes and picnic areas.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“A nice and enjoyable walk along the falls with great views and around the loop to the furnace then back.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“This was an easy trail that had beautiful views the whole time.”

This was an easy trail that had beautiful views the whole time. There are several beautiful waterfalls along the way. Seemed like there would be several places for children to swim at. There was a bathroom facility at the beginning of the trail. I'd definitely check this place out if you enjoy hiking.

The family and I had a WONDERFUL time hiking up to the falls!! Such a great little hike, there are a couple spots that are a little steep for the Littles or elderly but wonderful for a short hike. After, we even had a picnic on some tables that were right by the stream!! The furnace was awesome as well!!

Short hike but a beautiful trail with lots of waterfall pools. Best time to go and see wildflowers blooming is May.

We took our dog for a short hike on Roaring Run Loop Trail. It's less than 2 miles, but packs in a lot of scenery. We started on the Streamside Trail that follows Roaring Run upstream. There are a number of nice cascades and slides along the creek.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 23 mentions

“The forge side (to the right from the entrance) was a bit tough to walk since most of it was uphill but very rewarding once we reached the creek and waterfall.”
