Confirmed from Robert Dollar Hiking Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Robert Dollar Hiking Trail
A majestic scene of beautiful rolling hills with a "country" essence. The name and word "Petaluma" itself is Miwok for "land of many hill tops" roughly and rings true to it's native roots of the Great Coastal Miwok nation. Come and and enjoy the comfort of perfection and grace!!!!!
Nice Hike. Small parking area for abour 6-8 cars. Immediate uphill hike that challenges you to the top then you can wind around the neighborhoods for a nice loop back to your car.
Nice little trail, kept up well. Many incredible views in a very short relaxed hike.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
