Confirmed from Harry Barbier Memorial Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Harry Barbier Memorial Park
Love this hike, up fairly wide, dirt fire-type ride. It's steep with switch backs as you get up higher. There are alternate smaller trails that branch off the main one, and you can't really get lost on those because the smaller trails go up or down the mountain and connect back to the main one.
Great hike to start off from gold hill grade. There is parking at bottom of the hill and easy to get to. This is the back side of China camp and is about a 2.5 mile hike to get up to the top to the Nike missile site.
You will either Love or Hate this hiking trail. It is a steep and long climb, border line rock climbing lol. I learned the hard way DO NOT BRING KIDS HERE!!!
