Confirmed from Rock Canyon's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly hiking area known for rock climbing and mountain-like scenery.
What runners say about Rock Canyon
“Beautiful fall colors, amazing rock formations, nice facilities, and a fun little cave to explore.”
“One of my favorite easy hikes.”
One of my favorite easy hikes. The trail is well maintained and there are two drinking fountains along the way. There are 5 bridges that cross the creek along the way up. Occasionally a deer or two. I once had an encounter with a moose just past the Squaw Peak turnoff.
Easy access hiking, great rock climbing and a really neat abandoned mine await you in rock Canyon.

Tiring, exhilarating, depths and heights that astound, tiny islands of spring between the winter dead, taking favoriteĺp secret side paths, coming to specific spots with fond memories, it's fulfilling.
