Confirmed from Rockville Hills Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Area with volcanic-rock hills & a grass valley for nature-watching hikes, bike rides & scenic views.
What runners say about Rockville Hills Regional Park
“Beautiful blue oak woodland park with nearly 14 miles of trails, including about half a mile of outdoor accessible trail.”
“There were several picnic tables in shaded areas disbursed throughout the park incase you wanted to snack or some lunch.”
“There were also several children running around exploring and enjoying themselves, so it seems like a pretty family friendly place to go.”
On my inaugural visit to the park, my expectations were modest at best. To my surprise, I found myself utterly captivated by the verdant hills, the explosion of wildflowers, and the majestic trees that adorn this natural oasis. In terms of the trails, I'd categorize them as ranging from easy to moderately challenging.
Beautiful blue oak woodland park with nearly 14 miles of trails, including about half a mile of outdoor accessible trail. The All People's Trail was designed to meet outdoor accessible standards, just one step down from ADA. The surface is smooth and was tested for different mobility aids.
Nice park to MTB, run, hike. Beautiful when wet. Small park but lots of trails with signs to wander. There are oak trees for shade, manzanita trees and a small lake for a breeze. Didn’t see any drinking water.
Really enjoyed coming to this park with the family. A short hike that’s worth it at the end with a lake view. Plan for 1-2 hrs here. Lots of vineyards to see on your way up there. There are quite a few mountain bikers , so keep that in mind of having to move often to the side for them .

“Although the park was relatively clean, the bathrooms were very smelly, maps were faded, signs weren't in great shape or missing and QR codes around the park led to website errors.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says

- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
