Confirmed from Rocky Branch Park - Belmont, NC's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular park with hiking paths, wooden bridges, a pump track and jump lines.
What runners say about Rocky Branch Park - Belmont, NC
“Trail is well maintained (in general), good signage and always seems to be growing with new features.”
Great trail lots of advanced features. Tons of drops, berms, ramps. Lots of uphill also😅.. edit 2021.. recently they have been updating and redoing the trails to make it more hiker friendly and giving riders a more updated fun riding experience.. they've done hell of a job and they're not even done yet.
Mostly biker friendly Trails for all skill levels. However, there are some intermediate and advanced trails that will literally take your breath away - menacing Rock gardens, switchbacks and some short steep climbs. All in all, lots of fun. Oh and one more thing, the trail has friendly birds!
Excellent MTB trail system. So many features I lost count! Thank you to all who have upgraded and maintained these trails. This is a perfect example of quality over quantity. Not a lot of miles but, man, this trail is a blast.
Got invited for a group ride with Jose Torres and CLT Mountain Bikers. First I’ve ever ridden here. LOVED IT. Trails are in great shape. Great place to ride and you’re in downtown Belmont. Hats off to the City of Belmont for doing such an incredible job!!! Other surrounding towns could learn a lot from Belmont!!!
Trail conditions & character
“probably the most technical trail in Charlotte on top of it being the most fun and my overall favorite trail system”
“A pretty good trail loop that I feel gets overlooked.”
“The only thing they lack is restroom facilities which is a porta crapper at the Belmont entrance.”
“Another thing I like are the trail markers you can give to 911 if you get hurt they will know exactly where on the trail you are!”
