Confirmed from Stowe Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Small downtown park popular with kids featuring a big playground, a walking loop & seasonal events.
What runners say about Stowe Park
“The grounds themselves are beautiful and well cared for, with plenty of shade, open green space, and a charming atmosphere that fits perfectly with the rest of downtown Belmont.”

Very fun playground, plenty of green space to walk around in. We visited during the Christmas tree contest which was a welcome surprise! The main attraction was the squirrels, though. I've lived in a squirrel-infested neighborhood for years and have never seen a volume of squirrels this high. I'm serious.
I visited this park cause it was one of the recommended places with Christmas decorations. I was expecting a big park with Christmas trees but it's a small cute park, decorated for Christmas. Each Christmas tree was decorated by a department or store. It looks nice but there's only a small walking area.
Great park in Belmont within the downtown area. Good park with activities to workout, walk around and for the kids to play on. Bathroom was gross. Men's room was wet with a clogged toilet. Definitely needs maintenance
A beautiful little spot right in Main Street area. Cool fountain. Nice playground for the kiddos and a walking path along the way to just walk around and enjoy the area. Highly recommend.

“Very quiet place to play with your kids, there are so many squirrels, besides the place had very clean restrooms, maybe need more games for the kids”
“Large water fountain yo see, and splash hands in, and walking distance to icecream, restraunts etc.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
