Confirmed from Ronald D. Lehman Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring baseball and tennis courts, plus a playground, picnic areas, and disc-golf course.
What runners say about Ronald D. Lehman Community Park
“The park itself seems very well maintained and has lot of things to do for families.”
“Well maintained too, beautiful scenery.”
Except for some local residents who tried to cause a fight in "their park" because kids were throwing mud at each other (It's kids. Correct your kids and we'll take care of ours. Not even my kids, a relatives.) it was a nice park. Clean with lots of shade and (mostly) friendly residents.
This park is very well kept and Channahon Park District is great. They have a lot of events at the park for families, many of them free. There's a splash station, pavilions, kids playground, basketball, tennis, disc golf, and a nice paved path all the way around. There is also access to the I & M Canal.
Never too crowded, so nice for a quiet walk. Has a paved track, softball and baseball field, basketball hoops, and nice kids playground. In the summer it also has a nice water area for there kids.
I was there for a cross country meet. This place is a true cross country course. Also, great spectator course for everyone. Well maintained and clean. Good place to go with the family for a walk.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
