Confirmed from Roswell Underpass Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Roswell Underpass Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (129 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful place with the river flowing by your feet, a children park and many fishing spots.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“The park leads into a peaceful neighborhood, and I even had multiple people stop to check on me as they had thought I was stuck in the rain while biking.”

Great spot for fishing and a perfect place to park before hiking the Boardwalk or Riverside Trails. Some days you can get spectacular photos of the sunset.

Roswell Underpass Park is a fantastic spot for hiking and soaking in the Chattahoochee River’s beauty. Despite the hum of nearby Georgia 400, the trails and serene nature make it a remarkable urban oasis. Kudos to Roswell for sustaining this recreational gem!

★★★★★ — Atl , Jun 2025

A convenient, nice little park with places to fish and sit right on the river. It is part of the path that runs a little further south to the shoals (last place with parking) and for miles north past the Chattahoochee Nature center.

★★★★★ — Bobbi , Aug 2019

Place is beautiful at the right time of day. Unless you’re going on a jog or workouts, you won’t spend much time here. Recommend for a quick 5 minute detour to anyone visiting the area.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
