Confirmed from Rothfuss Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A charming, clean, safe and well-tended community park with paved and gravel walking trails along the perimeter and woods' edge, multiple playgrounds and athletic fields, a charming roofed area with picnic tables and tidy public restrooms, and young trees that bloom beautifully along the path.

This was a fantastic play space. We enjoyed the playground as well as the digging area, and thought it was really neat to have digging toys available. There is an inclusive playground off to the side, which is always nice to see, too.

★★★★★ — Cydney , Apr 2023

I come here during the summer to watch the sunrise. There's a nice playground, some soccer goals and a lot of walking paths.

★★★★★ — Joe , Nov 2019

Big park with ample parking. Lots of walking paths and picnic areas. Two playgrounds which are great for kids of all ages. The new playground is dinosaur themed and even has a fossil sand dig area with all the digging tools your kid would need/want.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
