Confirmed from Royal Gorge Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering a mix of scenic trails for hiking and mountain biking, along with flat walking paths.
What runners say about Royal Gorge Trailhead
“At the end of the loop, you get some great views of the Royal Gorge bridge.”
Great 1.5 mile hike on the Royal Gorge Overlook Loop with just as good of views of the Royal Gorge as the park without the cost. The most scenic hike I've been on.
The trails here are outstanding and continually expanding. There's plenty of technical riding and trails for people who just want an easy stroll or ride. The trails are well marked and are on several map apps.
Not a long hike, but the views are spectacular. There weren't many people on our sunset hike and we got to enjoy the views in peace. At the end of the loop, you get some great views of the Royal Gorge bridge.
For mountain biking it can be done by anyone, but there are spots for the advanced rider too. So many scenic views along the way.
