This is a great historical state park that is located on the northwest side of the Snake River and Columbia River. There are a few easily walkable trails and some artifacts that you can view, not to mention the museum. I would recommend stopping if you're in the area and have the family with you.
I took a walk in this little park while on a trip. It has plenty of picnic tables, parking and river side views. It was late August and the weather was very nice after a significant heat wave. Still the grass and trees appeared healthy in spite of that heat.
The park is located at the confluence of the Columbia and Snake rivers. It is such lovely park with lots of picnic tables under large shady trees. It has a boat dock and paths with informative signs about the area and its history.
Sacagawea State Park is a canine paradise with easy access to water, allowing our four-legged friends to frolic freely. The expansive grounds offer plenty of shared spaces and breathtaking views, creating a serene escape.
