Confirmed from Salem Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly park featuring playground apparatus like swings, slides and a merry-go-round, plus a creek trail.

“Other than that, it's a beautiful area, and a fun park!”
Secluded park with access to Spearfish Creek swimming spots. You can cross from Black Hills State University by using the bridge on the south end of the parking lot.
This is an awesome little park in the network of little parks along the Spearfish Rec path. It separates the adjacent neighborhood and the parking lot next to the BHSU football/track stadium. There is a very nice bridge that connects Salem Park to the parking lot.
Great playground, with shaded picnic area, restroom, and nearby walking paths. There are horseshoes. We have had a lot of bee encounters when we picnic here and some mosquitoes in past years.
This is an amazing park. All handicap accessible with numerous movable interactions for the kids. The park was extremely clean and the stream running near by just put the icing on the cake.
