Confirmed from Sand Creek Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Fun & several different paths, great shade & fun for nature walks with little oned!”

Great trail. Very well maintained. Almost entirely tree covered for good shade. Almost entirely flat. Mulched path. Just shy of 2 miles long. Went early on a Saturday morning and didn't see anyone else on the trail.

It's a great trail for a nature walk! The only thing I didn't like about it was that the mulch that lines the path has pieces of thorn trees in it. I got a good sized thorn through the sole of my shoe on the way to our destination, and my husband got a thorn through his shoe as well on the way back.

Great place to take my doggo to walk. So quiet and beautiful. Trail well taken care of

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
