We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Scarlet Oak Woods yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Scarlet Oak Woods
“A beautiful gulch hidden away and close to town.”
“This is a perfect place for a quiet pandemic walk in the woods.”
The houses are so cool on the road leading up! The hike is a little steep at some spots, but nothing an experienced hiker can't handle. Lots of mushrooms and fungus!
Went there March 2020. Very beautiful place! Clear water, nice hiking route. Went there early spring and it is such a scene to enjoy! Not many people there, just a few parking spots, a really sweet place to spend time.
Beautiful trails that lead down to a creek. Our family (two adults and two kids) enjoy hiking, and this is one of our favorites. The kids loved exploring the creek.
This is a perfect place for a quiet pandemic walk in the woods. No facilities. Limited parking. A simple arcadian walk to the creek. Boring. Serene. Lovely.
