Confirmed from Seeley Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Seeley Lake Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (232 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

It's essentially a wide, clearly demarcated path that loops around a natural, wild center seemingly inaccessible by trail. Contrary to what some say, it does become peaceful as it leaves the busier road and travels behind residential buildings. I did not notice anyone else on the trail in the morning around 830 am.

I’ll give this four stars because I appreciate that it exists and that it loops around the marsh. That’s kind of cool. However, the parking has been cordoned off. The community center is nearby, but there are signs in their parking lot that they will tow your vehicle if you park there.

Pretty little mile long trail between the road and some marsh that leads to a literal trucker parking lot lol. Few people on the trail that were living there.. but it was a cute little walk to tire my kid out, probably not as nice in the later seasons.

★★★★☆ — Natalie , Apr 2024

They've barricaded the parking lot off, and the only available parking is for Lakewood Community Center, who I just got off the phone with, where they told me that it's fine to use their parking lot for Seeley Lake Park. The park itself isn't bad, it's a nice walk around a swamp.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
