Confirmed from Seven Bridges' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Forested 2-mi. ravine hiking trail overlooking the lake & crossing over 10 bridges.
What runners say about Seven Bridges
“It was a beautiful scene but I did not quite understand what the *7 bridges * is except at the entrance.”
“The trail was fairly easy to navigate.”
After an afternoon at the beach at nearby Grand Park Beach, we decided to take a few pics at a lookout spot. We noticed to trail down to the seven bridges trail and decided to check it out. We were so glad we did. What a beautiful hike. The trail was fairly easy to navigate.
We were staying in a hotel 5 miles from here and found this on a Google search. Really beautiful area. Walking trail to the beach with super easy. We were even traveling with my dad who walks with a cane. He just stopped every so often to rest. Beach is clean and serene. Beautiful lakeview. Great place to take photos.
Beautiful hiking area through woods, ravines, and bluffs. There's amazing views of Lake Michigan from the bluffs. The trails were in great shape and there's so many different paths you can take. I definitely recommend hiking here.
Hiking Trail Review Oak Leaf Trail - 3 Miles Trailhead is split but either way is very easy to find. Large open parking lot with free parking. There are many intersecting trails for this path which you can easily use to modify your path.
Trail conditions & character
“It was a beautiful scene but I did not quite understand what the *7 bridges * is except at the entrance.”
“Biggest drawback is that it’s a popular area and parking is limited (although additional lots are a short walk away).”
“I personally modified my route to make this more of a loop rather than an out and back loop.”
