Confirmed from Shady Brook Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kids and dogs are welcome at this petite, leafy park, known for its creek, play equipment and pond.
What runners say about Shady Brook Park
“Wish they would clean the park up to what it used to be.”
“There's beautiful stairs down the hillside, paths, there's a quaint little bridge, frogs, bull frogs, awesome to hear.”
Beautiful setting. Perfect for toe dipping and a little swim for your dog! Has a book exchange box, which is lovely for the tranquility of reading next to the water under a beautiful shade tree.
It's a great place to go to get out of the house with the kids it has everything self composting toilets a rather big pavilion with plenty of picnic tables for parents and children to sit and relax or have lunch or even do both together after a while of being there there a basketball court a very nice and decent sized…
Lovely park in the city of Meadville. Mill Run creek bisects the park, coming through a dam from Rainbow Lake. There is a path in the woods to take you over the dam to the lake, and subsequently to the track and Meadville Middle and High Schools.
Great little park. Slightly surprised. Came across it at night. There's beautiful stairs down the hillside, paths, there's a quaint little bridge, frogs, bull frogs, awesome to hear. There's also a little playground, open areas for picnics/picnicking, water fountain. I was only able to explore slightly.
