Confirmed from Shadyside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Shadyside Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (402 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Nice little park right in the middle of Mt Clemens. Sit along the river, let the kiddos run and play. Even saw a doe with her two fawns..

★★★★☆ — Kelly , Aug 2024

This place is great to bring your dogs too there's huge open fields they can run as much as they want and the water added to it is pretty amazing

★★★★★ — Katie , Mar 2020

Our church just had a back to school fun fair and backpack giveaway there. It's definitely a great Park. It was very clean and well-maintained. Playground equipment is up-to-date, they have a covered pavilion, and I hear there's pretty decent fishing there, too.

★★★★★ — June , Aug 2019

A go to fishing spot. Sons also but their boat in here at times. The skate park is smaller but fun. lots of walking areas. The bathrooms being open are a hit or miss at times.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
