Confirmed from Sharon Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Sharon Nature Preserve
This is Medina County's newest park/reserve as of April 2023 and I was pleasantly surprised by it! It was bigger than expected and peaceful. Many Medina County parks are near highways or other busy roads and this one isn't so plenty of nature sounds.
Nice little place for a walk or short run through the woods and a crushed limestone path.
Simple trails. Was able to take the jogging stroller on both trails just note there is a narrow bridge to go over on the nature trail. The gravel trail is very nice and an easy walk. The nature trail does have gravel as well. Would be good for running on. When I was there they where building a shelter at the trailhead.
I would have to say that this is not a nature preserve but basically a huge meadow with a walking track around it. There is a secondary trail that takes you through the woods. If you start out on the Orange Trail then jump over to the Blue Trail, finish that loop and then jump back on the Orange Trail to finish.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
