Confirmed from Shaw Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Country park with a ball field, playground, trails, swimming, canoe and kayak launch, and fishing.
What runners say about Shaw Park
“Shaw Park has free parking, swimming, a swing set (about 4+ swings) & a big, grassy field for picnic's &/or running around and a pretty clean portapotty!”
“Very quiet with a great view of the river, and some walking trails including a walking bridge across the river.”
The trails are nice and the views are beautiful and so peaceful. A lot of history throughout the walk.
I love putting in at Shaw Park. It's got a great little beach which makes getting on my SUP less messy especially with the pups. I think you can rent kayaks from the city of Gorham, but you should check their website to be sure. It's a great place to swim with kids or even do a couple laps across the river and back.
One of the best community parks in the area. Paved trails for walking, running, or biking. Water access for kayaking or canoeing. Baseball fields, playground, lots of picnic tables.
This is a beautiful walk through the woods. Me and my buddy's went to Shaw park when it was 95° and we jumped off the bridge. The water is chilly but there isn't much of a current that you need to worry about and the water is reeeeeally deep so you have no chance of hitting the bottom, unless you jump at the way edges…

- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
