We really enjoyed this park! Wasn’t crowded on a weekday early afternoon. Great spaces for kids to roam and climb. We only explored a small portion of the trails to see the waterfall. Not stroller friendly trails. The trail to the waterfall was all downhill but not too steep.
Very well marked and maintained. The markers are highly visible, some with arrows and some trail intersections have signs (for the Waterfall or Road name ahead). Wooden bridges get you over the stream in several spots so you can stay dry. The paths are clear and clean enough to trail run fairly fast.
There is parking for the area and then you will follow a map on the trail app that will take you into a complete loop.You will see two cascades as you walk along the trail. It is mostly an easy hike to do.It took me about an hour to complete it. There is also a little stream that runs through the trail.
The Sheep Farm North has a diverse habitat including rocky outcroppings, glacial erratics, bluestem meadows, deep forest interior habitat, forest edge habitat, early successional forests, extensive wetlands, seeps, shrub swamps, a string of Tier 1 vernal pools, Class A stream- Fort Hill Brook, and two waterfalls.
