Confirmed from Shelter Cove Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City gathering spot with frequent shows & festivals, plus a green space for sports & fitness.
What runners say about Shelter Cove Community Park
“Beautiful waterfront views and a very well put-together park with lots of seating, a very nice playground (with video surveillance), and restrooms.”
Shelter Cove Community Park is a very well-designed shopping center, community park for the whole family to enjoy. All of the photos were taken on our recent visit at Christmas and the park is just beautiful! The playground is great with rubber mulch and very cushioned for wild kids like mine:).
Beautiful park with lots to enjoy! Wide open spaces make it perfect for walking, kids, dogs, and community events. We visited before lunch and enjoyed taking our little one to the playground and strolling the sculpture trail.
The best on this side of the island! Free and a playground foe kids with water fountain, restrooms lots of seats and walking for the family. Sunscreens in the bathrooms and lots of cameras around to spy on you! And free wifi however not enough handicap parking.
It's a wonderful community park but there's very little shade along the boardwalk so pick your days carefully and wear lots of sunscreen. The views are absolutely beautiful
Trail conditions & character
“Great place to view the Tuesday night fireworks as well as the sunset, just get there early (around 6:30pm) and eat dinner and hangout or else parking can be difficult!”
