Confirmed from Sherrill Brook Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Open area featuring a dog park, playground & picnic pavilions, plus green space & nature trails.

“Clean and quiet park, very well kept no big pot holes grass was well kept overall very nice park to eat lunch at, have parties or just bring your kids to play”
“What to expect: Scenic woods and open spaces, dog‑friendly areas, trails that aren’t overly demanding (so little hiking experience needed).”
Very big park. Good parking space. Picnic area, benches are available. Play area equipments are clean in good shape and big. Restrooms are available. Large walking trail to enjoy.
I love this park. Very nice trails to bike or to walk. The pavilions are great. On Tuesdays they have farmers market and food trucks in the afternoon.
Very clean. Paved/gravel paths. Dog areas are clean and provisoned with water dishes, plenty of toys and agility opportunities for your fur babies. Three separate areas for separation of small, medium and large dogs. Each area has a picnic table and bench.
My dog loves this park, it’s very clean and kept up. They have a little pool for your dog to cook off in, bowls for water, dog waste bags, a hose with running water. We love watching him have fun and run free here!

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
