Confirmed from Shiloh Trails - Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Shiloh Trails - Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (72 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

I ride here every time I come to Laredo for business. This is an awesome twisty trail with some challenging corners, climbs, and descents. Love the way you travel into woods and edge some exposed drops that could put you in the creek.

I made the mistake of showing up on a Sunday, when no local bike shops were open. So my review is from a walker's perspective, but as a MTBer at heart. Mostly dirt track with a small amount of gravel and/or grass. Several trails, but few markings so best to keep your head on a swivel.

Great for biking and hiking - just a suggestion, if it's your first time, take a pic of the trails map at the trailhead so you don't get lost - not all trails lead back to the trailhead

★★★★★ — Lindsay , Aug 2020

Nice place to go to feel like you are not really in a desert. The trails are family friendly and are not too hard for even little kids. There are quite a bit of mosquitoes on the trails due to the moisture from creek throughout the trails. So be sure to apply bug repellant before heading out there.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
