Confirmed from Shore Park and Parkway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park for walking, biking, and rollerblading with views of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and the harbor.
What runners say about Shore Park and Parkway

I just love this place. It is so peaceful and you get to enjoy whether you want to take a quick walk, jog, rollerblading, or simply hold hands with your loved one.
There are two baseball fields and you can jog or ride your bicycle too. The express bus stop for the X27 is just outside the park. Great place for a picnic.
Great place to walk or ride your bike. Amazing view of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge.
There is a 4 1/2 mile bike and walking path that is next to the Belt Pkwy with many benches to sit and rest/relax! I LOVE walking along the waterfront and viewing the entrance to NY Harbor! U also have a wonderful view of Staten Island.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
