Confirmed from Ocean Breeze Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Ocean Breeze Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (788 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“A peaceful, clean indoor/outdoor park with open space, gym, trails, and playgrounds.”

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

“Trails are well marked but look somewhat boring at the end of November without the greenery.”

A very nice trail near South Beach with a picnic area, right next to the Ocean Breeze Atheltic Complex. Trail starts to the right of the Atheltic Complex, look for the picnic tables, and loops through thick trees. No elevation. Sandy and grassy grounds. Fair amount of wildlife to see.

The park was originally a tidal meadow with wetlands, marshes, dunes and tidal creeks. Park’s name originated in land promotion from early 20th century for seaside cottages and summer houses. Trails are well marked but look somewhat boring at the end of November without the greenery.

A peaceful, clean indoor/outdoor park with open space, gym, trails, and playgrounds. Membership is $50 for adults (6 months)and free for kids and teens. Great for walks, workouts, and spending time with family and friends.

The Ocean Breeze Indoor Track Facility is an impressive venue overall. My son’s school traveled there for the 71st annual Bishop Laughlin Games, and the facility was very clean, well run, and bright, thanks to a large wall of windows that lets in plenty of natural light.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 5 mentions

“Ample parking in the covered parking lot or across the street at South Beach.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
