Confirmed from Shreveport Riverview Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Shreveport Riverview Park
“It's a great location for Senior Portraits and having beautiful spaces in our city is always a plus.”
I love coming down here and walking around taking pictures! It's a beautiful area along the river and have views of both Bossier and Shreveport skylines.
It's a beautiful park by the boardwalk and Science Center. It has beautiful multicolored lamps which are very nice to look at in the Twilight or the early morning. You can likewise see the lights on the river boats across the river.
This is my favorite place to take a walk or just sit. The white noise from the river is comforting and the green surrounding the area is nice. It's a little bit of nature tucked into downtown.
Props to Shreveport for providing a tranquil and well-maintained walkway along the Red River. Maybe it isn't super-scenic but it's fine for contemplative walks outside the casinos.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
