Confirmed from Sibley Staging Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic destination for walking and hiking trails, plus picnic tables.
What runners say about Sibley Staging Area
“Hikers are treated to stunning panoramic views, peaceful surroundings, and a chance to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area.”
“Many trails for hiking, some shady some totally exposed.”
“6 miles easy hike with beautiful views and a good amount of shades.”
We did Round Top Loop Trail, which is a 1.6 miles easy hike with beautiful views and a good amount of shades. The trails are pet-friendly here, but do keep them on leash since there will be cows and goats around. Parking lot was quite packed when we arrived, but luckily we found a space. There are restrooms available.
Wonderful place, great parking lot. The trail is kind of steep at the beginning, but dogs and kids will love it. Great place to get some exercise and see some nature. The trees are awesome.
Round Top Trail Loop for the win on a gorgeous spring day in the Bay! Lots to see along the easy fire trail, though conditions are a bit muddy in the spring. Quiz your friends on "Safe or Poisonous?" with the plants, do a burma shave, geology, or sound map hike, watch for birds and listen for critters in the brush...
Did the overlook and round top loop with our kids. The two mile hike was perfect for them with a view and a bench midway through. Nice bathroom and small exhibit at the parking lot.
