Confirmed from Signal Hill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 14 mentions

“A beautiful spot to hang out with friends to lie down on the grass and look out onto the city of Newport Beach (preferably night time).”

Signal Hill Park is an absolute gem! The breathtaking views from the top of the hill are worth every step of the hike. I've spent countless sunsets here, and it never disappoints. Signal Hill Park is perfect for family outings.

One of the most beautiful places in the world on top of the world where you can see all of Los Angeles and majority part of it going into Santa Monica and going into Orange County,. He would come here ever since I had a drivers license when I was 16.

★★★★★ — Fire , Dec 2024

Went to help out for a community event called National Night Out the park is really taking care of. I would recommend it if you going walks or even a picnic, even enjoy some family time with your love ones.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
