Confirmed from Singing Hills Forest Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Singing Hills Forest Preserve
Immersive hike. Calming and lush with a wide gravel path good for walking, running and biking. You hear the birds throughout the path. Signs of deer which you might see earlier in the day. Public restrooms - sub par but functional
Great location for this park because it intersects two long paths. You can head south along a nice trail through a valley or had north to marls flat fp. Both are nice trails and well groomed. It had a large parking lot and bathrooms.
Not a loop (connects with the Millennium Trail). The barn makes for a pretty walk but not much shade to speak of.
The excellent views at this forest preserve are matched only by the outstanding trails that will give you a good workout and lots of views of Illinois prairie plants, trees and grasses.
