Confirmed from Wauconda Park District's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Community park featuring ball fields, a playground, picnic tables and a gym.
What runners say about Wauconda Park District
“He is such a good person and hard-worker, everytime i walk-in he is always being so kind with everyone and also he is always keeping the place clean!”
I love this town. The park district and the people running it are wonderful. The gym is such a deal with a great selection of equipment. Something I DON’T love about this town! I was just reading about concerts in the park. What ever happened to the $5 dollar brat’s? Really dumb idea who ever came up with that one.
Wauconda put on a great triathlon! I really appreciated how organized the event was and the encouragement from volunteers/staff. The trails we used were well marked and the countryside beautiful. I appreciated having people along the route to signal the direction to go as well as hand out water or spray with a hose.
This is a great place to work out. The staff is very friendly. They take their covid response seriously putting up plexiglass and reducing the amount of people. But I would suggest to anyone in the area to go over and give it a try. They will walk you around and show you all their equipment.
Great park with a walking path! Lots of areas to spread out, you can borrow equipment to play the games in the back. Three playgrounds and several ball fields. Gets busy during football and soccer season!
