Confirmed from Skidaway Island State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Skidaway Island State Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,937 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 14 mentions

“We came simply to picnic, and even though the weather didn’t cooperate, we made the best of it by enjoying our lunch from the car while taking in the lively, well-kept grounds.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 13 mentions

“The campground store is beautiful and well organized and the counter staff are friendly and professional.”

We stopped here to camp 1 night traveling back home so didn’t really get to explore much. It was $46 on a Saturday night and sites included electricity and water. Most sites are pull through and fairly level and dirt but if rainy they will get pretty muddy. Gravel would be a nice improvement.

Campground. This was our first stay here. Very nice park lots of walking, very nice welcome center. Currently working on upgrading one of the sections. Will definitely be back. Pull through sites are not really pull through, the back road is small and snakes between trees, but back out there is plenty of room.

We recently camped here for two nights and loved it! What a beautiful park. We camped at site #4 which was a premium site - full hooks ups and pull thru. Site was very spacious and level and not close to neighbors. It felt very private. The visitor center is super nice and spacious.

We spent a few hours at the park on a long weekend in Savannah in October. Enjoyed bird watching, seeing alligators and turtles on the trails very much, but my favorite part was the gift shop! It was excellent and the employees were great. Wish their shop sold online because it was fantastic!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
