Confirmed from Big Ferry Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This trail is very beautiful with very immersive natural environment. Wildlife is very abundant and is definitely worth a visit

Went a little late in the day, around noon, so it was a bit warm. Go early in the morning if you can! Nice long walk with a well-groomed, wide trail. It had rained a lot recently so the trails were a little muddy. It was beautiful though, great exercise!

I love going here and walking a loop or two. It does get hot in some stretches with no coverage from the sun, but there’s shade too. Some beautiful views from the tower! As long as you’re cautious of alligators and respect wildlife, it’s a well maintained little trail with benches to rest at and gorgeous scenery!

Met my brother in law and his family out there for a night-time walk through the woods. We've been out to SISP many times but the woods at night are quite different for sure! If you go at night, of course take flashlights and bug spray, but be cautious of tree roots along the trails which are easy to trip over.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
