Confirmed from Sky Room Campus Park - Rio Rancho Parks & Recreation's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Outdoor events venue featuring an amphitheater, food trucks, and a public restroom.
What runners say about Sky Room Campus Park - Rio Rancho Parks & Recreation
“Ordinarily beautiful is a cotton candy vendor and I could not believe how long that line was it was probably the longest vendor line the entire time we were there.”
Great place to walk around with the dogs! Great for outdoor live events. A lot of people use it to take professional photos. Small little library box. There's restrooms but they're only open when there's a city event.
Not sure why it is called SkyRoom, but the area is very nice and has paved and gravel walkways along with lots for vendors and booths. Saw a car show and enjoyed the beautiful open spaces. The entire area is in a bit of a bowl, which kept a lot of the expected winds down.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
