Confirmed from Slayter Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

If you're looking for the best place to play pickleball, this spot is unbeatable. The courts are top-notch, with plenty of space for both casual games and more competitive matches. Beyond pickleball, it's a fantastic place for families, offering a range of activities to keep everyone entertained.

Great park with lots of concrete walking paths around the whole park. Always people of all ages around. Large lit up area to walk around at night, although its only a small part of the park. Great place to walk the dog any time of day!

★★★★★ — Angela , Apr 2026

Very clean. A lot of work appears to be done for maintaining it. Not loving the disc golf area around cars and others walking on the pathways

★★★★☆ — Scott , Aug 2025

Amazing park! I especially enjoyed the music while walking the trail, very cool!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 6 mentions

“The only downside (and reason for 4 stars rather than 5) is there is no bathroom.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
