We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Slide Mountain Wilderness yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Slide Mountain Wilderness
“Great hike, beautiful views on the way up, each trail has its own beauty, I suggest going back more than once and doing all the trails.”
Hiked up the mountain on april 1st it was a great experience. The top mile or so had ice on the trail thankfully the steepest part was over and we made it to the top.
Very intense hike for 1 nice view. I Would only recommend if ur young and fit.
A great hike (do both Giant Ledge and Panther - don't skimp out). Quintessential Catskill hike but not particularly aggressive in any area. Multiple views and apparently a nice dusting of snow on 10/26/18.
Great hike, beautiful views on the way up, each trail has its own beauty, I suggest going back more than once and doing all the trails. Park ranger was very knowledgeable, can't wait to go back!
