Confirmed from Sokol Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Sokol Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (249 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“Very nicely upkept and clean playground that's toddler friendly.”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 4 mentions

“Our dogs love to and so do we.”

Love this park! Huge open green spaces for kids to play soccer at Sokol North complex. Fun play equipment. Nice trails for walking and riding bicycles at main park. Also the Will May Dog Park is at Sokol (main park). Great location.

Had a great time today. Responsible owners and friendly happy dogs. Plenty of room to run. Picnic tables and benches for us humans. I'm so glad we have a dog park!

★★★★★ — Patty , Feb 2021

Nice. Enjoyed walking here. Also brought grandson and he had a great time at the playground.

★★★★★ — Johnny , Nov 2024

Love the dog park. Clean, lots of grass and shaded. The dogs are divided up by size and the dogs must show vaccine records to go play. The City does an excellent job in keeping this park up. Our dogs love to and so do we.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 13 mentions

“Walking trails, extensive children’s playground, baseball/softball fields, soccer fields and a dog park.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says

  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
