Confirmed from South Campus Mountain Bike Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Extensive system of hiking and cycling routes, including some geared toward mountain bikes and kids.
What runners say about South Campus Mountain Bike Trails
“Recently the campus of Ole Miss has been working hard to add some trail markers and clean up the trails a little.”
These. Trails. are amazing! The main trail combined with the winding trails that branch off of it offer a beautiful landscape to experience while you run, bike, or walk for your health.
My favorite place to be of all time in Oxford. Its one of the most underrated parts of Oxford. You can get lost back in the trails. There are two ponds that you can trek to on the various different trails. Recently the campus of Ole Miss has been working hard to add some trail markers and clean up the trails a little.
So many trails to choose from. Something for everyone from flat ashalt surface to 20⁰ uphill grade dirt paths.
We went off on a side trail, got super lost, and ended up at an old graveyard. It was awesome!
Trail conditions & character
“Great for dogs but PLEASE keep them on a leash.”
“Locals and students park alongside the road to access this hard-packed trail nestled in the wooded hills of Northern Mississippi.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
