Confirmed from South City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about South City Park
“The facilities were clean and mostly well-kept, and parking was abundant.”
“The neighborhood was quiet, and the cars passing through were very respectful of posted speed limit signs.”
Very clean, had a blast with our 2 year old. Things have changed over the past few years. New playground equipment and a walking track. Also had a good time playing tennis with my 12 year old.
I pass often to South City Park in Opelousas, great staff nice new walk or jog path and an enhanced disc golf course with plenty distance. Nice kids area and places to park and BBQ. I enjoy the park and love the trees, tennis courts etc if you are passing through or live here come check it out.👍
I wish they had basketball courts. The park is nice. They have many baseball fields and a football stadium. They also have a newly paved walking trail. The bathrooms are old and as clean as they can be. The playground is cool, but I'm bot a fan of the sand terph.
Exactly as listed. Electric and water, no shower. Nice to wake up to well maintained park for an early walk. Neighborhood was quiet, security was friendly and helpful
