Confirmed from South Lums Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Easy, paved trail alongside a canal that's ideal for walking and biking activities.
What runners say about South Lums Trailhead
“Very clean restroom and parking lot.”
“Well marked and well maintained.”
First time here it's really nice I couldn't go all the way down because of the snow but I got to where the other trial meets and turned around but it was a nice walk it was quiet next time I will take the whole trial but what I did do it's easy paved it's nice
Plenty of parking (on a weekday) for a great paved trail. Just watch out as the few times we were here some shady characters were sitting in their cars watching people come and go. Just make sure you lock everything up.
Great place to get started for bicycling, running, or taking a walk. Lots of parking space for free! Restroom is clean and nice. (Not portable restroom) the trail is very good!
Nice big parking lot that's a bit secluded, but the other patrons have always been pleasant and leave their nice vehicles there while cycling or walking on the Michael Castle Trail.
